Feb 18, 2009 2-Person Best Ball

TOURNAMENT RESULTS
The Midweek Gang is off to a great start with 18 golfers showing up for the first midweek tournament in 2009. Board Member Don Sperling tied for low net with his partner Ray Carlsen along with the team of Haru Makiumoto & Lanny Clark. The tie breaker was determined by the lowest score on the back nine. Although Don and Ray had a blazzing front net score of 29 (Lowest for the Day), Haru & Lanny sailed in with the lowest back nine net score of 31 (Lowest of the Day).

Other notables, on 8th hole, Kent Flewellyn hit the ball within 2’-0” of the hole (sure hope you paid the $2.00 for the Hole-In-One Club)and Mike McKenna landed within 7’-2” on the 17th hole, very nice performances by both.

Course & Weather Conditions: The 2nd hole had about 3 major lakes in the fairway and the 11th hole had a huge lake from the trap all the way across the front of the hole and two big lakes on the left front and left back of the green. Mid 60's, calm, clear skies. Good tournament, not very good golf though.
