At last! The Midweek Group finally got nice weather on the scheduled tournament date. Alas, only 8 players were on hand to take advantage of mild temperatures, clear skies and a gentle breeze.Ron McKenna was the overall winner at “6 up.” He probably could have won any game imaginable the way he played with only two holes net bogie or worse on the way to a net 65. Doug Swann was in second place at “2 up” edging Mike McKenna by virtue of a back nine tie breaker. Doug was also low gross for the day shooting an 88.
Haruo Makimoto was closest to the pin on #17 which had a tough front left position on this day. The course had shed all of the standing water nicely in the two weeks since our last tournament and the fairways and greens were both favorable.
