10th Annual Freeport Cup - June 18, 2011

The 10th Annual Freeport Cup was played at Land Park Golf Course, Sacramento, Ca. Our host golf club this year was Land Park Men's Club. For the last nine years, the team LP sported Hawaiian Shirts. But this attire has only one victory. So this year, the team put their heads together and all agreed on Black Shirts and to support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

GRIPS FAST GOLF CLUB WINS for the 5th time in 10 years. Gary Tinseth worked his magic and the course played very difficult. The weather was perfect, the course was in great shape and everyone had a great time. 12 player form each club: BCGC, BMGC, GFGC and LPGC participated in this years event.
The match came down to the last few groups where GFGC was awarded the Cup with 40.5 points, followed by Land Park Golf Club with 28.5 points, then by Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Club with 27 points, then Bing Maloney Golf Club with 24 points.
