Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Club is a Men’s & Women’s Membership Golf Club. Our home golf course is Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course located adjacent to the Sacramento River along Highway 160. Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course was established in July of 1995. The course is owned by the City of Sacramento and is operated by Morton Golf. The links flavored golf course was designed by Golf Course Architect Perry Dye. The par 71 course measures 6158 yards, with a slope of 122 and is rated at 68.9 from the Gold Tees. 2013 Freeport Cup - Bartley Cavanaugh Wins it's 5th Title


2013 Freeport Cup Winning Team - 5X Champs

Back to Back Freeport Cup Wins!
Team BCGC Wins the Freeport Cup with back to back wins.  This is the fifth time BCGC has brought home the Freeport Cup.  On June 15, 2013 the 12th Annual Freeport Cup was held at Bing Maloney Golf Club. With months of planning behind, the Team from Bartley came to win.  After the fifth team was scored, Team Bartley never looked back, as they kept the lead until the end was over.

The scoring results are: Bartley: 32.5, Grips: 31, Bing: 28.5, Land: 28.  After four groups had been scored, Bartley (7) was tied with Land (7) and Bing (7) and trailed Grips (9) by 2 points,  After 8 groups had been totaled, Bartley was pulling away with 23 points with Grips (20.5) behind followed by Bing  (19.5) and Land (17) points.  Bartley finished strong bringing in an additional 9.5 points with the 4 remaining teams to finish with 32.5 points, of which Bob Benefiel delivered the 3.5 of the 9.5 points.

The morning was set for a fantastic day of golf, the weather was ideal and Bing Maloney Golf  Course looked and played great.

Low Gross and Low Net for BCGC went to David Schutt shooting a personal best with a 79-18= 61, and followed by Jim Coombs and Richard Sanchez each shooting a net 70.  Shooting net 71 was Tom Bell.

Leading the way with 4 points were Jim Coombs and David Schutt.  Bob Benefiel and Greg Lueterio earned 3.5 points, and Jean Chong, Mike McKenna and Tom Bell each earned 3 points. Richard Sanchez managed 2.5 points.  Bob Thomas and Greg Taca each earned 2 points,  Mark Edgar and Glen Kinion each brought in 1 point.
